| Time to think about myself |
Most of my life, I spent thinking about my career and community work. It's always been what will be best for the viewers or for the client or what would be best for the congregation. It has never been what will be best for me or what I want in life because as soon as I've charted my career path, it seems that there is nothing left for me to achieve as things are all nicely placed.
Until lately...
Yes lately it dawned upon me that I had done great injustice by not asking what I want for myself. I will turn 30 in a couple of months and I have stopped thinking about myself for so long that I couldn't even recall what my needs are anymore. I need to pluck up enough courage to recognize my needs and start addressing them.
In the meantime, I will have to start relinquishing some duties that are less pertinent so that valuable time can be devoted to myself and my needs. But before I can even do that, I need to know what I want and hopefully, God will lead me to some answers. |
